Why I Write

My heart opens,

A crack in the door,

So words can exit,

To stay no more.

Let them leave

And circle awhile
A feather dipped in ink,
My thoughts in sync.

The action- to take

Pen to page,

Like wisps of perfume,

Sweet, calming sage.
