I wish I held the hourglass

So time would quickly pass.
I wish the grains were small enough

Like wisps of perfume,

Sweet, calming sage.

Domino

It took her hours.
Trembling fingers,
As she bit her lip
And her finger slipped.

Now the domino shall fall
And make a sound of its own.
And that sound shall be laughter
From the lips of a girl.

Breeze

We are a "breath of passing air"
But not all that have breath have life.
We live by faith...not by sight.

"What the world could hold"
Is not what makes us "hungry for life."
Hope in God opens our eyes.
Shows us

Can be the gentle breeze
